LOOKING FOR ELVIS AT THE MARJORIE LUKE THEATRE MARCH 2022
Throughout the year we give our students multiple different performance opportunities, this includes our Annual Showcase. In March 2022 our first annual showcase was the InterAct original musical, ‘Looking For Elvis’, written by Co-principal Maya Smith. This full length musical enabled ALL our students from our Friday and Saturday schools to experience the thrill of a large stage performance. It was rehearsed within a ten week term, representing a terrific challenge for the students and one which resulted in new found confidence as they became stronger and more adept performers.
At InterAct we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to have a named role and play a character that they can ‘sink their teeth into’ while having fun and making friends in the process. InterAct’s future may introduce mainstream musicals at some point, but our InterAct originals are written and adapted specifically for our students. No performance is ever the same! Look out for ‘No Second Chance’ in March 2023!
